7:10 Feature Demo: Sharpening with Bruce Campbell

After tool control, sharpening is perhaps the most important skill needed in woodturning.  There is lots of information out there but it is often misleading or contradictory.  On Thursday evening I will concentrate on only one tool – the skew.  But, we will look at most of the concepts there are in sharpening including, types of grinders, stone grit and composition, bevel angles, honing, different steels, different types of skews, jigs and jig systems and so on.  I will demonstrate a few simple practice projects that are quick, and fun while reviewing the basics of using the skew.    – Bruce Campbell

Note: Bruce will have a full day demo on Dec 10th at Bow River. Details here.
