Preparing: Turn 3 items, you will have time to sandblast 2, and a 3rd one if time permits.
The following woods are good for sandblasting: Ash, Chestnut, Elm, Fir, Hackberry, Hemlock, Hickory, Oak (red or white), Redwood, and Sassafras.
Langley U-Blast Introduction by Owners: Leah and Kevin Manson about operation and equipment, which booths have which mediums, which mediums produce what types of results, how to use the equipment, safety measures to be taken and they will be on hand if you need assistance.
You do not have to sandblast 100% of your turning.
You can mask off areas with green masking tape or duct tape
You can even mask off shapes – ie flowers, animals, abstract shapes, grids, etc.
Use your imagination.
