7:10 Feature: Relief and Chip Carving on a Turning by Rick den Braber, President, Central Fraser Woodcarvers.
Rick den Braber needed to reschedule his carving demo. Michael Hamilton-Clark will step in to demo one of his Tooth Fairy boxes.
It looks like Michael Hamilton-Clark has had a small accident. He is ok but will be unable to demo this month. Barry Wilkinson has agreed to demo a Triangle Box.
8:45 Juice, Tea and Snacks at the break. And buy wood raffle tickets. Goodies supplied this month by Bob Scarrow, Dennis Sherwin, Murray Sluys, John Spitters, Peter Termehr, and Al Thorn. Don will have some Magazines and DVD’s for rental from the club Library.
And the ”Problem Corner” Advice from the veterans. Bring something you are working on or something you want comment on form & design. Bring in problem pieces, unknown species, wood pieces that you don’t know what to do with.
9:00 Presidents Challenge is a turned tiered pedestal platter (1 Flat finish, 1 Satin finish.)
9:15 Members Gallery: Commentary. Bring completed work you want to show, tell how, take questions, and discuss.
9:30 Wood or Tool Raffle donations: Bring wood blanks or a roughed out bowl blank. Bring something you would use yourself. This month, Lee Herberts, Arnold Hewitt, Neva Hilliard, Bryn Jones, Elwin Jones and Gary Kelly will each be bringing some good wood!
