Ron Kredba Saturday, 16 April 10am to 1:00pm
33-32777 Chilcotin Drive, Abbotsford

My shop is unique in that it is fully enclosed in 1/2 of a 2 stall garage. It is 17′ x 8′ x 10′ h.
I built it almost solely towards turning wood. I will have my Boring Bar and Laser set up on my lathe for hollowing a vessel, and I will show how I use my compressor for both air pressure and vacuum chuck needs and how I use an old furnace fan system to clear all airborne dust particles from shop in under 5 min. Coffee also available. I am in a strata complex but I’m sure parking will be adequate with the help of my neighbors.
Keith Ruttan Saturday, 16 April 1:00pm to 4:00pm
12525 208th. Street, Maple Ridge
604-463-7771 or jkr1944@gmail.com
I am planning to demonstrate how I approach cutting out pieces on a large maple burl (approx. 32 x 16 x 8) for my square bowls. Also looking for input on my dust collection system. Coffee, tea and snacks.
Gloria Herberts Saturday, 7 May 10:00am to 1:00pm
5731 Carmen Court, Abbotsford
604-504-5730 or geherberts@gmail.com
My shop is well organized and optimized for turning and surface enhancements. Lots of tools, compressed air, vacuum chuck, dust collection etc. I will have a number of pieces in various stages so I can show the steps I go through from design, turning, carving, pyrography, colour and finish. I will show a little bit of each step and talk about the products I use.
I will have something light to eat as well as coffee and goodies.
John Halstad Saturday, 7 May 1:00pm to 4:00pm
9855 Candow Street, Chilliwack
604-793-6777 or john.halstad@gmail.com
I plan to do some offset turnings, triangular boxes, twisted boxes, cups, and candle sticks, somewhat in the style of Barbra Dill. I will have a number of blanks laid out in various stages completion. I will also have my home-built kiln open for display and a short write up of what I have learned on drying to date.
Bob Askew Saturday, 4 June 10:00am to 1:00pm
1517 129th. Street, Surrey
604-535-6774 or bobaskew@telus.net
I shall present examples of the functional turnings that I produce, particularly associated with the meal table. I shall show pepper and salt mills as well as egg cups and nutcrackers and I will have my shop set up to demonstrate how I make convenient stowage stands for egg cups. Refreshments will be served.
Barry Wilkinson Saturday, 4 June 1:00pm to 4:00pm
