“CLEMATIS PLATE”

Size: 10” diameter by 2.5” high
Wood: Big Leaf Maple (Acer Macrophyllum)
Finish: Polyurethane
Description:
The entire bowl and rim is a single piece – turned from a Big Leaf Maple wood block
The rim was pierced and carved to create the look of vines and flowers. Pyrography was used to create the textures on the vines and areas close to the bowl rim
The leaves and branches were dyed using ColorFX dyes on the bare wood.
The flowers were given a coat of white gesso, then dyed using ColorFX dyes.
