This is a rather large 16 inch pedestaled Chilean Pine Fruit bowl, just enough spalt and color to support the whorl of branch bases . The 1 inch thickness of this piece is determined by any differences in height of the branches and not gouging out or too much of one over another . The green turning indicated some out of alignment , but prior to final turn , the placement of layered paper wedges in the chuck corrected the balance .
