7:10 Feature: Hands-On Turning Night – 3 Different Projects
Lance Rossington is organizing lathe stations for three projects from simpler to more advanced:
1/ Spinning tops for all members
2/ Honey dippers for all members
3/ Small lidded boxes for the more advanced
A NEW feature at all Hands-On Turning nights:
The Sales Table is for members to bring in wood, roughed out bowl blanks, chisels, any tools or materials related to wood turning for sale to other members. All items must be marked with members name and asking price. A 15% commission charge on items sold will go to the club. All sales are cash, so bring your money.
Don may have some Magazines and VHS tapes for sale from the club Library.
8:45 Coffee, Tea and Snacks at the break. And buy wood raffle tickets. Goodies supplied this month by Dale Seguin, Dianne Sjodin, Murray Sluys, Al Thorn, and Chris Van Netten.
And the “Problem Corner” Advice from the veterans. Bring something you are working on or something that you want comment on form & design. Bring in problem pieces, unknown species, wood pieces that you don’t know what to do with.
9:00 Presidents Challenge is off set turnings.
9:15 Members Gallery: Commentary. Bring completed work you want to show, tell how, take questions, and discuss.
9:30 Wood or Tool Raffle donations: Bring wood blanks or a roughed out bowl blanks. Bring something you would use yourself. This month Brent Hansen, Murray Harris, Gloria Herberts, Lee Herberts, Neva Hilliard, and Dale Holtz will each be bringing something good!
