The GVWG has a great on-going educational series called Turning 101. And members of the FVWG are invited and welcome!
Anyone interested should call Gerry Vickers at 604 463 0760 to verify a spot.
Turning 101 is open to all. New turners should be able to show they know basic parts of the lathe, how they operate and how to use their tools in a safe and productive manner.
This year Turning 101 is held at the KMS Tools Coquitlam class room (9:00 AM – 4:00 PM.) Classes will be limited to six (6) students only, and students must have registered and paid prior to attending. All sessions will start with lathe and tool safety, and then a practice of beads and coves.
