Our very own Murray Sluys will be sharing his insights on these important wood saving topics: Understanding wood moisture, heat, relative humidity and how it relates to green wood and “dry” wood We will review the drying process for 3 professionals, and looking at micro waving drying, home made kilns, air drying, dipping wood in “solutions”, wax sealers. And more.

And the ”Problem Corner” Advice from the veterans. Bring something you are working on or something you want comment on form & design. Bring in problem pieces, unknown species, wood pieces that you don’t know what to do with.

9:30 Wood or Tool Raffle donations: Bring wood blanks or a roughed out bowl blank. Bring something you would use yourself. This month Brian Murphy, Vern Oleksyn, Bill Olsen, Ross Paterson, Beverley Pears, and George Peters will each be bringing some good wood or other turning items (eg Sandpaper, Finish, Tools)!
