Free Elm In Mission

Elm in Mission. It was cut yesterday, so good for green wood turning. It was a 50′ tree with twin stems, 24″ or so at the base.

The lowest trunk piece (2 actually as it was a co-dominate stem) would be free to turners as I was a cabinetmaker once.  The crotch area is at least 6′ long. At the lowest cut the heartwood is 12″x15″ round (approx) with a flat face where the 2 stems abutted.

Interested folk should call to arrange a suitable time and day and have the right gear.
