7:10 Feature Demo:  Michael Werner – multi axis turnings.

Michael Werner blends his skills and experiences as an artist, craftsman and teacher to play with the contrast between natural and geometric shapes – creating a tug of war between the organic features of wood, interesting lines, color and texture.

 

Michael Werner is a well published shop teacher, and AAW symposium presenter. Another one not to miss!

8:45 Coffee, Tea and Snacks at the break. And buy wood raffle tickets. Goodies supplied this month by Craig Adams, Jim Axelson, Don Best, Derek Bird, Bob Burke, and Gary Burns. Don will have some Magazines and DVD’s for rental from the club Library.

And the Problem Corner” Advice from the veterans. Bring something you are working on or something that you want comment on form & design. Bring in problem pieces, unknown species, wood pieces that you don’t know what to do with.

9:00 Presidents Challenge is pepper mills and salt shakers.

9:15 Members Gallery: Commentary. Bring completed work you want to show, tell how, take questions, and discuss.

9:30 Wood or Tool Raffle donations: Bring wood blanks or a roughed out bowl blank. Bring something you would use yourself. This month Calvin McCarthy, Norm Miles, Caelah Murick, Brian Murphy, Paul Murrin and Mike O’Leary will each be bringing something good!
