Barbara Dill coming to the GVWG

Barbara Dill is coming to the Greater Vancouver Woodturners Guild

The Greater Vancouver Woodturner’s Guild guild is on a bit of a roll. After hosting Mike Jackofsky for a demo and workshops this week, they will present Rockville, Virginia’s Barbara Dill in Vancouver on December 7th & 8th.

BarbaraDill_0789Barbara demonstrates multi axis turning, presenting the concepts and methods in a very understandable way. Check out her work and website at barbaradill.com. Her website alone has a tremendous amount of information on multi axis turning.

”My interest is to experiment with the many forms that can be turned on a lathe without the use of jigs or chucks.” – Barbara Dill

Barbara Dill will be doing a day long demo for the guild on Saturday December 7th, starting at 9 AM at Sapperton Pensioners Hall, 318 Keary St., New Westminster. No signup in advance needed, just bring your $30.- fee, and your own lunch or pick up a sandwich at a local shop.

And there is a one day hands-on workshop on December 8th. It is open to non GV members if they choose to sign up as an associate member: cost $15. The workshop itself is $160. This is a great opportunity to develop and strengthen your skills in multi axis turning with Barbara Dill. The workshop will be held at KMS Coquitlam.
